Russia Says It Took Control of Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia Village
The Vostok (East) military contingent pushed forward in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region, taking the settlement of Chervone within the last 24 hours, according to a ministry statement.
Moscow also detailed escalating aerial combat operations between the warring nations. Russian air power, artillery units, and unmanned systems struck Ukrainian military facilities across 145 separate locations, the ministry reported.
Ukrainian forces responded with their own drone offensive, launching aerial attacks that prompted Russian air defenses to intercept 251 unmanned aircraft throughout Tuesday night across Russian territory, the statement claimed.
The ministry further alleged that Kyiv launched a maritime assault using naval drones in the Black Sea, with two craft destroyed in the northwestern waters late Tuesday.
Ukrainian officials have not issued any response to Russia's assertions. Confirming battlefield claims remains difficult given the active hostilities.
