Kremlin confirms Putin-Witkoff meeting
According to general briefings, footage from the meeting will be made publicly available, though officials declined to say whether any formal statements will follow the discussions. They added that Putin is spending Monday in a series of closed-door preparations ahead of the talks, without offering further insight into these activities.
The Kremlin again asserted that Ukraine was responsible for a recent strike on infrastructure linked to the Caspian Pipeline Consortium in Novorossiysk, a Black Sea port city. Officials said they lacked information regarding any ongoing investigation into the incident, which occurred on Saturday.
Reports also indicate that Putin’s agenda remains heavily packed. Although China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi is beginning a two-day visit to Russia, a meeting between him and Putin is “not yet” on the schedule, the spokesperson said.
When asked about the current whereabouts of ousted Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, the Kremlin declined to provide any information.
